Is apex better for customizing than liberty?

Liberty .7 watermarked sunnie-side up

Better? No, but I do like his terminal toolbox better, old school. But jrummy has mobile_sensei doing Themes for it too, and Fab will have to wait until someone else does it for his Rom...

I think they both customize equally.

I don't even want to say how many times I sbf'd trying to vet it right on GB. Its quite a bit different than Froyo was. I also have a transparent lock screen and have no idea how I managed that one.

OK. So after loading up apex 2.0 I sbf'd 10 times the first 2 days trying to get it right a d have everything working. The reason is I have not been able to get a backup to work for the life of me and at this point it's just easier and one less step to start over. If anyone has a reason why backups don't work for me that would be cool.

Downloaded and installed...must come from 596and MUST WIPE DATA! Super smooth and fast! As always not a hitch so far...but remember this is just an un themed test build...there will be more to come...and it gets greater later lol!

@DThomp...are you renaming your backups?..if so, don't use any abnormal characters or spaces...that causes an md5 mismatch

Nope no reason renaming. Just after restoring backups the phone does not work and if I recall multiple f/c's. Did them like I always did on froyo without problems I have not a clue, but I'm good at sbf now anyways.

Lol...sometimes after I flash I get mad force closes but a battery pull will fix it...have you tried a battery pull on a force close loop?

Nope. Just gave up making nandroid back ups. The Ninjamorph file for the projects is on my card and I copied all of my free apps that don't come back after a wipe to my card. Only takes maybe an hour to set it back up after a sbf.

I believe the best way is to sbf back to .340 then flash the 2 part rooted gingerbread rom from www.mydroidworld.com

@DThomp I think your backup problem is due to Apex. I bet your force closes would go away if you flashed part 1 of the Apex file over your backup. Just like when you flash it the first time if you do a wipe it messes your system up. The same thing happens to backups. The problem is you loose some of your theme changes when you flash the Apex file so not much point in backing up Apex with theme changes. Just have a clea. APEX backup and in the same clockwork session flash Apex part 1 before the reboot and no force closes.

I only started using Ninjamorph the first of December. There is a thread in the stickies in the droid X themes thread with good instructions along with a link to the actual post that explained very clearly how to do it. If I can do it anybody can.

I like it so far, I just wish the battery life compared to liberty. I get like a day and a half on liberty and on apex right now its almost halfway through the battery but of course I was setting up my phone again so I was on it alot.. but we will see.
