View Full Version : Amazon Now Taking Trade-Ins for Electronics

05-18-2011, 09:21 PM

Amazon has just announced that they are starting a new program that allows you to trade in most of your old electronics, mp3 players and smartphones for store credit. Simply box up your old goods, ship them out and Amazon will give you the value in the form of a store credit. They even feature bonus trade-in deals of the day that give you even more credit for your buck.

Everybody is jumping in on this. Wal-Mart has a similar program now too.

And all are paying well below what I would consider a fair offer.

From my own experience it has to be fairly new stuff for them to give you anything. For convenience it is great but if you want more money sell on eBay or Craigslist.

yeah, i was disappointed that amazon did not even list a phone that has been in demand recently: LG Optimus V for virgin mobile.
every time i entered the model, it kept changing it back to the T model, even though the V was listed at the top of the page.
sort of silly. i gave up.
