Has there been a topic started on this? Is it true that if we install. 595 then we will be able to get the official Verizon update when it becomes available to the public?

Doubtful, I think the only way to get 4.5.596 (the official OTA) will be from stock 2.3.340

Supposedly you can update to OTA only with the unrooted stock .595 zip

Which makes sense since the others have been fudged with. Who knows what is removed/changed in them that may not allow an update.

From what I understand, if you update to the stock version of the 4.5.595 leak, you can get the Official OTA.

That's correct. The word is that you have to be stock, either .595 or .340 but there's nothing official out yet, so being somewhere you don't want to be is not necessarily going to get you to where you're going. :omg:

Being rooted won't affect you receiving the ota, if your on stock .340 and just rooted with titanium, your fine. If you have bootstrapper installed, you will have to remove that. If you do have it search the forums on how to remove it. I'd send you a link but I'm on my phone :)
Also, be aware that if you do take the update, you'll lose root. No telling if/when we'll get root with the new ota..
