My phone starts FCing left and right at 42, so mine is set at 40, just to be on the safe side.

If you hit 103 F then turn that thing down lol. They say thats the battery melting temp, wont really melt but its too hot for the system. Set a Profile for screen off and make sure your set to Ondemand for clocking so your not using power when un-needed

103? Heck the phone will be sitting at 100 sometimes just sitting idle in my.pocket. and when running constantly between a game or browsing or esp gps nav it will hit 110 easily.

Have seen mine hit 120 during nav and playing music without shutting down.

The phone does have a set temp where it will shut down to avoid damage but I can't remember what it is at the moment. Will look it up unless someone else pipes in about that

DX- modded as far as it can be.
Xoom- waiting on official SD update.

I'm in sales. I had my phone on the car charger (which in my car, still works with the key off). I went in to see a customer, came out, picked up the phone. Holy S, was that thing hot! 134F!

Moral of the story: don't leave your phone charge in an unattended vehicle. And, no the battery doesn't melt ae 103 or 134. My battery is still good.

Never aaid it wud melt if u cud read u wud know that. 103 is the point where factory recomendations says its getting over heated. Im typing this now and other posts and im sitting at 83F overclocked 1.35 and underclocked to ultra low voltage

Was playing guerrilla bob for about 30 mins or so, the battery hit 109F, 43C . Was thinking that was kinda hot, hotter than I've seen it, but battery was @ 30% .. would a battery that is at 30% emit more heat than if it was fully charged? Maybe a dumb question :) ..only reason i ask is because I rarely let the battery get that low unless I feel like I haven't fully discharged it in a while.

I would have put my phone in the refrigderator if that happened to me.

Bad idea if it cools to quickly connections on the board are likely to crack or break essentially hard bricking your phone. I just uninstalled the app and let it cool to normal operating temp.
