There are a couple of different ways to SBF back to .340.

1. The Windows way: http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-rs-guides/22394-sbf-detailed-guide-success-windows-7-a.html#post252492

2. And here's an easy all-in-one solution: http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-hacks/23638-linux-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html#post267721

out of curiosity and for my own personal future use, would the Monster.zip file in the new TBH app also work?

If so, how exactly? I remember reading it somewhere, but it's not opened in Clockwork Mod, right?

Woah slow down guys, you can't use the 3 files for GB rooted to SBF your phone back to 2.3.340, you need the SBF file that is why RSD Lite isn't recognizing those 3 files. Read the guide on how to SBF then once you are back on 2.3.340 you can flash those 3 files using clockwork. If you don't feel confident after reading up I advise you don't do this

SBF files - DroidX (http://sites.google.com/site/1kdsdroidx/)

But I recommend just using this instead: SBF-LiveDisc (http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-hacks/23638-linux-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html)

Some folks have had good luck using the Monster.zip with a data wipe to get back to stock Froyo, many others, including myself, did not. Tons of errors, and had to SBF anyways. But it might be worth a try, since you can always SBF if it doesn't work out. And yes, you flash the monster.zip file from clockwork..

The 3 files used to load gingerbread are not for rsd lite. They are for clock work recovery.

Dl and install bootstrap for droid 2 after you root the phone.

Then open that app. Select bootstrap recovery
Then select reboot recovery and install files from sd card
