There's a deodexed version he's made that u can flash right over .573 to get to .588. So u don't have to sbf

Quoting greevedogg from another post.

Just so everyone knows...
Cuz I'm pretty sure there is still loads of confusion out there...
P3Droid has added a 4.5.588 deodexed zip that can be flashed ON TOP OF 4.5.573...there is no need to SBF back to froyo and install zips 1 2 & 3...
One simple zip...
it can be found here:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NN1PWGMH)

I flashed it right on top of the leaked GB...no problems...

If it so easy why has there been no clear explanation in the OP at MDW? Yes the file is there but no statement that the laborius instructions just above it are unneccessary. IŽd love to hear a clarification.

I believe you need to SBF back to froyo before you install the .588 gingerbread. Everyone who's flashed it over the old leak is just having issues.

I would advise anyone considering this method to do some research first. Mdw has over a thousand posts from people upgrading to the new version. If it was this simple nobody would consider the other way.

Loving my screaming fast X running rooted gingerbread.

I am on the rubix blurry bread rom. Do I need to reflash the rom after this update, and if so will the rom still work or will I need to wait for an update to work with this version?

Yea, I prefer a 'clean' install of .588 myself from a freshly SBF'd Froyo....

+1 for the fresh install. I restored my stock 2.2.1 backup and flashed .588. No data wipe. Haven't had any force close issues. I'm also running launcher pro with no issues. So far its fast and smooth as hell. I can also overclock on ULV to 1.3GHZ. On Froyo the best I could do was LV to 1.25 before it would freeze up. Lovin it so far!!!!!

So I used tbh monster 2.3.340 to get back to froyo. Then the 3 files installed in order. Now it loads straight to bootloader
