yes, on the market there's an app battery monitor free/pro by simmo publications that I'm using on gb to get 1% in the notification bar
so you could either dl that, but I gather you want to do this yourself... that I can't help with

I thought the Droid X, at a hardware level, only reported 10% increments till 15% battery. No software is going to fix that.

DebianDaog is correct, the battery percentages for the actual stock battery meter in the notification bar is set at the hardware level, no software can edit this, nor will you be able to edit this manually. There are apps and widgets however that can report back in 1% increments.

Image is tooo small to see, and if its the widget in the notification bar in far left, yes, that can report in 1% increments, but the stock battery bar in the far right, can not.

I'm still frustrated that I've lost the more detailed battery history on gb, where it listed the uid and partial wake usage... the me graph isn't as helpful to me

Did you try tapping the graph to bring up more information?

yeah, I get a more detailed graph and break down but it doesn't give me uid's like spare parts did on 2.2
I used that to target apps that were constantly running that actually impacted battery life instead of ones that ran but had little drain associated

O ok, I see what you are after. As far as I know, Spare Parts has issues on Gingerbread... could always email the Dev and ask for an update lol.

I saw a comment from a diff battery app dev saying that the changes are due to something that was removed in the gb build or such and it may not be 'fixable'.

I looked at the official gb site and the change log but it's beyond me

with my current heavy usage I'm getting 16-18 hrs without any oc or such so I'm happy nonetheless

chomping at the bit to apply blurry bread, but I have to wait til after my interview in a few hours with M$, can't risk showing up with a less then perfect running phone, and time is short to configure properly

Sorry, but I simply must ask, why is that woman nursing rats? They look quite old enough for solid food.

So does this mean the non-stock 1% incremental reporting is done as an estimate based on current usage? Or are these real quantities?

it's a still from Crispin Glover's music video for the song 'Ben' he made in conjunction with the movie 'Willard' that shows through the awesome transparent dxf app modded by Droid_Does!!

lots of screen caps feature busty females, so I took a look to see what I had available...just trying to fit in I guess.

maybe I'll bother with a sig today

I think they may be real, but the battery notification in the default right hand location is the hard wired hard ware reporting...

the smaller increments are helpful in demonstrating how the default display rounds down the level it shows... right now on the left I have 94% and the right shows 90%.
earlier I had 98% and 100% respectively
