I'm finding the same thing. But, I have the "early" version of gb without the recovery option so I can't wipe battery stats yet. I need to sbf, yada, yada, yada and install the new rooted version then wipe stats...at least that's my plan. :-)

Unplugged 9 hours, 26 minutes. Screen on 5 hours, 1 minute. Been doing alot of changing things around, clocking, running quadrants and stability tests, HQ youtube videos, freezing bloat, and DXF. Currently at 32%. Not too bad, IMO.

Well, I did let mine charge to 100% before installing GB. When I entered Bootstrapper to flash the rom, I was still at 100%. That might have played a part in how well my battery has been holding up. I'm at ULV 1.15ghz. Hit 2200 with that, and haven't got over 88į yet.

Weird, its working for me. Although it didn't take the first time. I noticed after I set it and then did some other tweaks, came back to it, that it reverted to original settings. So I reopened it and changed settings again. It's stayed put since (about 2 hours now stable).

I'm still trying to see what the "average" battery life is. My challenge is that I'm switching back to the stock battery (so I can use my Trident case when hiking and stuff) and can never get the calibration right. However, My GG3500 battery went over 40 hours until it finally died. That's with the batter setting to performance, not Nighttime Saver and my Data set to always on. Have you tried using your extended battery with the normal battery cover? I've been doing it for four months now.

Done that with verizon's extended battery, I get uncomfortable looking blurps (think lcd distortion when you touch the screen on old laptop lcd's) through the screen. Usually happens with medium to hard presses. I've also heard it can crack the screen, so I've stopped and gone back to the larger back panel. Is the gg version thinner? Have you had these issues?

I'd love to go back to the thin cover =/

Using the VZW extended battery I didn't charge my phone at all today. Now at 8 hours later I am at 30% battery.
- Battery mode, performance.
- Screen - 100%
- GPS on.
- Bluetooth on & streaming internet radio for all 8 hours.
- WiFi on for internet radio.
- On calls for almost 1 hour.
- Texting back and forth most of the day.
- Took 15-20 photos.

And after 8 hours I was only down to 30%. This is much better than I've ever had, with stock or Liberty 1 & 1.5.

I just now did this. I bent the tabs so the cover would fit. Works fine and it doesn't appear to be placing too much pressure on the battery, as that will cause screen issues.

And on topic, I don't think there's any argument gingerbread battery life is greatly improved over any froyo roms. But you do need to give it at least a few days to properly calibrate.

Mine is outstanding... I wiped battery stats and then drained/charged 3 times last weekend. I charge on the way to work, when I get home 12 hours later I'm at 80%, and then in the morning I'm at 60%.

I'm a moderate to heavy user with push and wifi always active. Prior to performing the above steps the phone would die in the middle of the night.

Mine sucked until I did some deleting/freezing/tweaking. Now I'm going on 21+ hours and its at 15%. I'm trying to kill the battery for calibration so I've been using it a good amount. I'm quite pleased :)

Have you tried using your extended battery with the normal battery cover? I've been doing it for four months now.

So, I'm using the Gorilla Gadgets 3500Mha extended battery and the original battery cover won't work as this battery sticks out about a 1/4“. :-)

Round two of battery calibration gave me 35 hours before phone death. This was with mild use, nothing crazy heavy. I'm going to do another round and then stop until next month :)

Went back to my stock battery after installing GB, just for a baseline. First day after calibration, I think I'm getting better battery life than on Froyo/Lib1.5.

Yesterday was heavy usage, over 4 hours of screen being on, always checking weather radar, several phone calls, texts, browsed the forums quite a bit, etc. Towards the end of the day I had just dropped from 40 to 30% after 16+ hours.

I have the stock battery, after calibrating my battery on GLiberty 0.1... I was at almost 20 hours with 80% left. It was only light/moderate use, answering some texts, listening to some music, and popping onto the forums every once in a while. I was going to see how long it lasted before turning red, but I updated to 0.3 earlier. I'm hoping the battery life will be just as good once it is calibrated again.

Do you do a lot of battery saving tips or do you leave everything on? I want my phone to work the way it's intended but I also would like for my phone to last a full day on a charge.

I use it a good bit.
My office phones forward to it. So it goes off probably 100 times a day, plus tons of emails. Getting on the forum and internet. So it gets alot of use. I have it set to performance in the battery settings. So not really set to save at all. Just awesome life with rooted gb.

I saw a good increase in battery life once I was rooted and went to Liberty 1.5. Since then I have switches over to Ginger .588 and it seemed nauru life was approximately the same, perhaps a bit worse. Since switching to Liberty 2.03 I used the battery calibrator app and I have seen a dramatic increase in battery time.

Yesterday I ran the app when I woke up and when the phone was at 100%. My phone lasted from 9 am until 2 am under heavy use, which amazed me. I was actually trying to drain the last 40% torwards the end of the night so I could go to bed. I gave up and the phone still hadn't died.

Since 9 am again this morning I've been putting the phone through a good amount of use, and as of 6:45 pm I'm at 70%.

The only way I can get these numbers is if i charge my phone and unplug it before it gets to 100% because the unplug time doesn't reset lol. I may try sbfing to see if maybe my phone is having issues...

After a week of calibration, easily 24 hours with moderate+ use. I've got an extended battery and I'd say it's worth it. With light use, probably 36 hours.

I've got mine rooted, deodexed and optimized (http://www.imoseyon.com/2011/03/thunderbolt.html). Check that link and apply the patch. It's made a noticeable difference for me. I don't even think I'll be downloading a ROM. The way it's set now is rubiX fast with ApeX battery and looks/performs/transitions better than any ROM I've tried.

Is the latest pre rooted gingerbread from p3droid deodexed already or do I need to do it? I'm going to try the patch you've got here and see if it helps my battery life at all.

What does the optimize do?

I haven't been able to get it to work. Supposed to smooth things out and give better battery life I guess. 6 1/2 hours off charge and I'm at 55% on an extended battery so it hasn't improved my battery... I may need to try reflashing it.
