I was looking to change some of the icons on my phone using GIMP, but I couldn't find any of the files so I could change them. Any idea to where they could be?

Most are in the framework-res.apk. App icons are in their own apks

And how do I access those files? I can't seem to get to them through my computer.

You need a copy of your ROM, using 7zip, you pull a copy of the framework-res.apk to your pc. Extract the apk using 7zip, open the folder, navigate to the drawable.hdpi folder in framework-res/res

Be sure that any icons you replace are named exactly the same as the old ones. I usually just overwrite the old with the new...after I make a clean copy of the unmodded framework. I goofed something one time and went into bootloop. Connected phone to my laptop and replaced the corrupt framework with the stock copy using Droid Explorer. Always back up!

Yea I am just overwriting. I have bootlooped before and I definitely do not want to do that again lol. But I made a clean copy just to be sure.
