How can I take the .apks from my phone? Like "Car Home" Is there a way I can copy it and paste it in my SD card?

Do you want to run it from the SD Card or just have a copy on the card? Some apps allow you to move them to the SD Card (but not all). From what I can see, Car Home is one of the ones that does not have this as an option. If you go into Menu, Applications and press on an application it will show you whether you have the option of transferring to the card (move to SD card tab will be highlighted).

Just use root explorer to copy apks from either data/apps or system/apps to the root of the sd. I have a folder I call "apks" and put all the ones I want in there

Are the copied .apks then installable, like if you copied them to another phone?

I do this all the time too, to keep certain apps in my SD card when I switch ROMs and what not, I even rename them and they have no issue installing.
