i am new to this forum and new to droids so hopefully what i want to do will work
my first droid is set to arrive today

this is my thought i will be putting a MAFT PRO piggyback fuel computer in my car typically they are linked to a laptop via db9 seirial port........ how difficult would it be to hook it up to my droid and use it to at least monitor the system????
is it possible to root the droid then just put the software on it or would i have to write a new program????

Lol...thanks for intro stg...but I just started messing with sdk ... there are pleanty of people with more knowledge than me... What's the original software called? Previous responses are correct, you would have to reverse engineer the software and then rebuild it for android (java), your best bet would probably to contact the original devs.

Is the software only built for pc? Or is there a linux version available?
