I was wondering if the OTA updates will not only automatically kick me out or root but do they also relay information to verizon about my root status or anything? If they don't, can I just unroot to take the update without having to SBF or delete bootstrap. My phone was rooted with z4 root and I have titanium backup, droid overclock, droid x bootstrap as my rooted apps. No custom ROM.

No it doesn't relay back, and its probably best to unroot but some people were able to do it, just unroot, defrost apps if u have any froze and delete bootstrapper, u can't just go into settings and uninstall you have to remove bootstrap through root explorer or terminal emulator

OTA updates will most likely remove your root access and you will have to reroot. I didn't have to unroot first. And Tidefan is correct, no info is relayed.
