View Full Version : Changing root and general user passwords after rooting.

So I have permanently rooted both my droid-x phones. before I go any deeper id like to change those passwords.

With my linux background I am very aware of the risks of having an easily accessible root account.

I noticed the basic linux command to change those passwords (passwd) is not present.

I know z4root replaces the root binary and a couple of other dependencies in order to be a successful hack. but there has got to be a way to change up the password even if it is just for piece of mind.

Thought's Ideas even better a solution?

P.S love these forums they seem very active and helpful!....unlike some other places populated by douche bag fanatics (cough apple cough cough)
