Sorry for this dumb question. But I just rooted and got my phone the way I like it. Why should do this update? I am unclear on how to go about going back to stock install 2.3.340 update and then reroot . Thank you:crazy:

Goto Settings- About phone and see if your Android Version is 2.2.1 and System Version is 2.3.340..If it is you're good, no need to install as you have the latest update already..

This is meant for folks that aren't on the latest versions, or want to revert back to completely stock form.

Hope this helps..

The full SBF is used in the event that you brick your phone, this will bring it back to life as long as you're on 2.3.340.

Did not I have to be at 2.2.1 and system 2.3.340. to install liberty 1.5?

Yes you did and were. Liberty and most roms will change some of these items when you flash. If it say 2.2.1 then you're good.

In your about phone sean, there's a system version. The first number should be android OS 2.2.1 and then system version should be 2.3.340. If you're on liberty and have no media issues then you're good.

I have looked in about phone there is no system version.

system updates
status
battery use
legal information
safety information
system tutorial
model number
android version
baseband version
kernel version
build number
mod/rom version 1.5

is what I have in about phone.
not sure if any of this matters I just like to keep up with updates.

Well as long as your videos play and mp3s work you're on the latest OTA.

I have looked in about phone there is no system version....

Some Rom's don't have it listed, Liberty is one of them..The new Apex just says System Version: unknown....I know it knows, but it just won't tell me...LOL..

You can always go into build.prop and change it yourself! Lol
