I think you messed up. The x is known for having screen issues and if you had a warranty you would be able to get a new unit. Did the seller have any type of return policy or anything? That's lame

eBay likes to protect its buyers much more than the seller so I think you will be able to put in a claim and just explain the issue honestly and the seller will probably work with you. No guarantees though.

Any luck so far?

It is a well known issue. Around 1:10 ratio of the first droid xs made had a screen issue, I had it. It won't break just gets annoying. Ebay should help you out, my mother does alot on it. I'm going to sell my x soon. To expensive atm..

Yes there was a large batch with faulty screens...paypal will definitely help you out.

update ive contacted the seller he said hes willing to work out a deal but im not getting what i paid for it..he said hes gunna check to see how much it is to repair. is there such a thing as repairing it? or is he jerking my chain?

You could replace the screen probably for about $100.

You could also think about adding a third party insurance like protect cell and then doing an insurance claim...however after doing that you may have more money in it than just replacing the screen.
