I take no credit for this. All the credit goes to probbiethe1, he posted this over on Android.net (http://www.android.net/forum/android-rooting/58355-how-watch-hulu-your-rooted-android-2-2-device.html)
I just wanted to share it with you all.

How to watch Hulu on your rooted Android 2.2 device

I figured out how to watch hulu on my phone and i wanted to share it with all of you. A few requirements, you must be rooted and have a device that can support flash

First download this zip file HULU.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?m8wfocz5vpyey7t)
Unzip it and load all of files to an sdcard so you can install them
If you already have flash installed unistall it
Install "install_huluflash_player.apk"
Install "flash_fixed_final.apk"
Install " Hulu.apk"

Once you have done that it should work i did notice that on my droid incredible running cm6.1 that the sound was super slow and low, so I found a fix a little bit of history when 2.2 came out google used a different codec company from 2.1. This caused a problem for streaming music, like with pandora and stuff so google and every buddy else came out with a fix. Well the fix was great for pandora but messed up hulu bad. OK history lesson over now to fix this ihtfp69 the creator of sky raider roms for the droid incredible as compiled a zip file to undo the audio fix ( he also created the hacked flash files and hulu app) i pulled it off my device and am hosting it here AudioFixRemove.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?iussq5dx6g1iruj) for all of you. All you have to do is flash this zip through recovery. That should fix the hulu sound issue now if you are worried about pandora being messed up i couldnt tell a difference but here is a fix for that. Install root explorer open it up and navigate to system- copy build.prop to your sdcard, then put your sdcard in your computer and open up build.prop with a text editor i use notepad ++ navigate to this line

media.stagefright.enable-http=true

and change it to

media.stagefright.enable-http=false

then save it and put your sdcard back into your device and then open up root explorer and copy and past it into system click yes to replace the old build.prop

that should fix it. Hope you guys like my work and i hope others try hulu and let me know if it works or not on their devices

it still lets you view any flash thing like the normal flash app so thats no big deal, the only problem i have found is the auido problem which i also found a fix for, people have told me it has worked on their devices ( not just the incredible ) but one person did tell me it didnt work on the g2. So i am hoping you guys can try and let me know so i can add a list of supported devices

Trying this on the X, uninstalled Flash, installed the Huluflash, but when I tap to install the Flash fixed final file it only gives me the choices of "uninstall, upgrade, launch" and Launch says activity not found..Any ideas? Thanks! BTW I'm running this on the Liberty ROM, will also try it on stock/rooted..(also posted on Android.net JIC)

Edit: same thing on stock/rooted..weird.

I have hulu working, but didn't use this method. I've described it in a couple of different threads now. Any interest in a standalone thread?

so in the thread over at android.net people have said when it gives you the option to upgrade when installing the fixflashed select upgrade and in should work. I just got a droid x and am running liberty 1.5 and i cant get it to work so i guess this doesnt work on every rom but it does work on the droid x

Yes please, that would be amazing. I really hope that I could get it to work and to work well. I am currently paying nine dollars a month for an OnDemand television service for Android called BitBop. You can stream many TV shows to your device anywhere in great quality, or save them to your SD Card for later. The only problem is that it costs money, and the selection is not even close to Hulu.

You can watch Hulu via the PlayOn app. There's a thread on here on how to do it.

i now have a droid x and so i have been able to mess with it more and i found out that i couldnt get my original post to work on the droid x so i did more searching and i now have hulu working on my droid x, this is how i did it. go here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-apps/11027-hulu-flash-user-agent-hex-mod.html and follow those steps to hack flash, make sure to use the latest version. then instead of having to change the browser to desktop i just used the hulu app from the file in the original post and it works great. hope this helps. My droid x is rooted and running liberty1.5

It's amazing that a little bit of research turns up. Yes, Hulu does work on the DX and roms.

I've been running Hulu since November of last year. One issue though. When the market has an update for flashplayer, don't update.
