View Full Version : 2.3.9.MB810 with 2.2 stilll..wth?..help!

I know when the 2.3.340 came out, I installed the update. I wasn't rooted or anything, just stock. My Android Version shows just 2.2 also. Then with the 2.3.340 update I know it installed b/c I see the new My Verizon, Madden, etc.

But today, I just happen to browse through my Settings and noticed my version is 2.3.9.MB810 and I'm only at Android Version 2.2...wth??

I tried clicking to check updates and nothing. I wonder what happened?
I recently rooted but I don't think that changed anything.

How do I get to back to 2.3.340 with 2.2.1?

Help please!

I'm running an oooold leak, with the same version number (2.3.9.mb810 of 2.2).

Would I be able yo use the above method to get to the current ota version, or would I need to flash back to 2.1?

You can try this. Run it and the worst that can happen is you have to SBF anyway. So try it and if it works awesome if not find the correct SBF file at RootzWiki

No chance of bricking the phone by simply running the zip? That's my only fear ;p

If not, I'll definitely give it a try. Ultimately I'm looking to get to the latest release, then root the phone.

Many thanks :)

Well yes there is a chance, but if you need to update and don't have a stock backup, then you will have to SBF either way

I was on the 2.3.9.MB810 leak as well and decided to give it a shot. Everything went smooth as silk. Activating as I type this and then I intend to reroot. Thanks :)
