The one thing that’s bothered me about my Commuter for the DroidX has been the ridiculously hard button presses.

Today, I cut a small strip of thin (very thin) cardboard equal in size to the raised buttons on the case and slipped it into the groove inside the case. Instantly better. I used a tiny piece of scotch tape to keep it in place while I put the phone back into the case, but it's fine without, as long as the cardboard is seated into the groove.

Use thin cardboard – otherwise you’ll stretch out the silicone and leave a gap in the case at the bottom edge of the screen. Your thumbs will thank you! Good luck.

I just tried this using a strip cut off of the box the case came in, MUUUUUUUUCH better! (defender series)
