I rooted my phone and installed the 1.3 ApeX. I have setup up Milestone overclock, set cpu, and minfreemanager and have them all running. My battery is not any better though from when I was on stock froyo.

Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Anyone willing to help?

what are your overclock/voltage settings? you don't need minfree, you could try uninstalling that, freezing bloatware also helps

I am over clocked at 1.3 76

So minfree doesn't do anything?

What would you suggest to freeze blotware

I forgot to mention I'm a noob at most of this.

So don't oc if you want longer battery life, but do for better performance?

I'm guessing you mean titanium backup when you say TiBackup?

+1 on jrummy app. That's the only app you need for overclocking.

Jrummy app seems to not be working quite right since the 340 update for me. Settings don't seem to stick.

You're not the only person. There seems to be more than a few that are having the same problem. It works for me. Give jrummy time to update it. He's a kick ass dev so he'll fix the problem.

Lower screen brightness, have apps that sync not sync so often, limit the number of widgets you have on screen.

my vote, buy the extended battery.. bought mine straight from verizon, and i love it. About 14 hrs of my day gets devoted to work, and I still usually have anywhere from 50-70% left when I get home.. Thats stock rom, rooted, still with all blur apps. 3G on all day...

i got the official battery from verizon, and it really barely even adds any size/weight to the phone. I've read you can actually use the stock battery cover, but may have issues with it pressing on the back of your screen..

I agree, get the extended battery, it's a must have. Also, minfree seems to work very well for me in terms of speed, but overclock is great too, just set it on low voltage or ultra low.

No Live wallpaper. Turn screen timeout to 30 sec. (min). Use Wifi where available instead of 3g. adjust data to cut off after 15 minutes in settings (except the apps that sync). Less homescreens. No fancy window tranistions. "backing out" of apps rather than going to home. run your battery down and charge to 100% every couple of weeks. Fix permissions once a week/rebooting your phone once a week.
