View Full Version : how do i get my phone to reboot to clockworkmod recovery

i downloaded bootstrap and made a nandroid backup by rebooting with rom manager.. but how do i make my phone reboot to clockworkmod instead of the normal android recovery

In bootstrapper, hit bootstrap recovery, hit ok, then reboot recovery

yeah but how do i make clockworkmod my default recovery so if i brick my phone i can get into clockwork mod and to my nandroid backup

It pretty much is...if you pull the battery and reboot, it'll go there first. It just doesn't go there every time since you don't need it to.

Yes, if you manually power down and turn back on it will go to clockwork recovery. If you get a reboot then it won't.

so if i was stuck on m and i did a battery pull id be taken there?

I mean, it's possible to screw your phone up bad enough for it not boot into clockwork, but just be careful what you're doing.

If that happened though, there's always another safety net with the sbf, then reroot, reinstall bootstrapper, and restore your backup.

Sorry the yes was agreeing with cdippa. If you get stuck at M and do a batt pull it might not take you there. but you can get to stock recovery and do a factory reset and then load a back up after it boots up.
