So i want to get my Droidx and also my wifes' Droidx up to date... i found the 2.3.34 Update.zip ->How to: Manually Update DROID X to Android 2.2.1 - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog (http://www.droid-life.com/2010/12/09/how-to-manually-update-droid-x-to-android-2-2-1/)

Here is my history for my phone.

2.1 -> Leaked 2.2 -> as of today my phone reads

System Version = 2.3.15.MB810.Verison.en.US
Android Version = 2.2

I am running Apex V But i do have a clean 2.2 backup.. So if i restore my 2.2 Backup..can i go straight to flashing this beast??

My Wifes phone..

2.1 - > OTA 2.2

She has the same system version 2.3.15 and also android 2.2.

Can i update BOTH of our Phones.. the same way??

Thanks for your time http://img.droidforums.net/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Yes, Roooler you should be ok to update both phones from stock 2.2 (not leak)

check out this link also How to upgrade from 2.3.320 to 2.3.340 (.340 is the verizon official) (http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-x-discussion/5713-how-upgrade-2-3-320-2-3-340-340-verizon-official.html)

No, if you have never taken the OTA 2.2 update, you need to use the 2.1 sbf, i.e. "the_gift.zip", and then OTA update to 2.2 in order to update to the 30.03 bootloader.

From there, it should be the same method.

yea i wouldnt advise going from the 2.2 leak to the update. since its the leak, you can use the 2.1 sbf to get back
