howdy,

I am one of those user experience/aesthetic picky people. I love things to feel right and look right.

I would like to know how to access and change the icons of the apps that use the top/status bar. Are there people doing this out there? Should I just scavenge the app's folder and look for icons to change?

All input welcome. Cheers!

Modify one of the drawable folders in system/framework/framework-res.apk I've done it a few times not too hard to do. Apparently ninjamorph does the same thing I just prefer to do it myself

You can also use MetaMorph - Android app on AppBrain (http://www.appbrain.com/app/metamorph/stericson.xda.metamorph) same developer as ninjamorph
and go here to download different replacement status bar icons droidpirate.com (http://droidpirate.com/)

make sure you make backups before doing any kind of modding/theming

you can also do this with root explorer and astro on the phone . with no MetaMorph or nijaMorph needed
easy to do!
and you can do this with adb

But that pushes the whole framework.res, with ninjamorph, you can pull single icons.
