I have Rom Manager and wanted to install one of the ROMS that are in the app already such as flyx or something. Can I install these roms then go back to my old rom if I want to? Does it do a backup just like if I install a theme?

Any info on this would be great...

Thanks everyone!

You can revert back to your old ROM if you make a back up and yes you can do this through ROM Manager

Be sure to do a backup first!!! FlyX is a dead rom, no support. Try one of the rubix ROMs or apeX

I want to install one of the rubix Rom but I think that most of them have some minor glitches that's just my opinion from my reading here on the forum. Can you guys please direct me in the right way to find a Rom that doesn't have any glitches and also the right steps on installing it..I have read about it and some install quite different than others, why is that? Kind of confuse here and don’t want to mess up my phone too. Thank you for your reply and time

Sad to say that there's no ROM out there including the stock one that has no bugs or glitches.
You can however test out different ones and see what works for you. Rubix and Apex seem to be the popular ones
Here's a link to list of ROMS http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-roms/9044-droid-x-roms-here.html
Installation instructions included in each ROM thread

Thanks for the info everyone. I tried most and I reverted back to stock with the 928theme. I really like the black bar. The other roms weren't to appealing. I did have a question tho. After restoring my backup, the jrummy logo still shows instead of the m logo. How can I get that old m back??

here you go Stock "M" Boot Logo Droid X (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AGBPHCV6)

place it in your SD card and install .zip through recovery (not as update)
