If you've been itching for any little piece of Gingerbread news then I've got the fix for you. One of the more popular benchmarks (AIRBench (http://www.airbenchmark.com/)) tracks the information on the devices which run the app. So, this allows them to have a small sneak peak as to what OS devices floating around out there might be running. He now has another newer result of a Gingerbread build running the benchmark upgraded to GRH47B from GRH14B. So rest easy, Google is testing this (of course, they are using their favorite Nexus One (http://www.nexusoneforum.net) for testing)

(Source: AIRBench (http://www.airbenchmark.com/reports/results/54), Android Central (http://www.androidcentral.com/another-gingerbread-build-spotted-time-its-grh47b))

Man I hope gingerbread is more promising than Froyo.
I just want to play a few hours of MP3s without having to reboot twice.

Good luck getting it on the DX... By the time it comes out for out phones, the "new-every-two" will have kicked in, and you could get a phone with a quad core 2.3GHz processor and a dedicated graphics card. The one thing I hate most about this phone? Motorola and their roll-out of updates to it....

here's another sign that it's close...
I updated Dolphin Browser last night and noticed to one of the "recent changes" in this latest update is: *Fix UI compatibility issue with Android 2.3
Then this I saw on my facebook today
Dolphin HD Browser Release Notes Leak Gingerbread Details (http://www.droidxplaza.com/dolphin-hd-browser-release-notes-leak-gingerbread-details/)

Not holding my breath though even though I'm excited as the next guy over Gingerbread.
It would be so awesome if we get it on our phones, if not I'll be happy to keep what I have
now and enjoy it for another year or so 'till my upgrade. I'm fairly happy with my X. :)

If Gingerbread lands tomorrow. What do if we are rooted and have flashed a rom?
