Heres what I have done to prepare. Let me know if Ive missed something.
1. Backed up everything with Titanium Back up
2. Downloaded droid x bootstrapper. Made nandroid back up.
3. Downloaded ROM Manager. Made back up of my current ROM.
4. Chose Rubix 1.8.6 focused

What can I expect from my phone during and after this process? Will everything that Ive done or put into my phone be gone? Contacts? Apps? Will I still be using Launcher Pro or can I? what about rsdlite and sbf? Please advise I want to do this tonight. Oh, and what themes can I choose from? Thanks a lot for all your alls help.

the ROM will require you to wipe data and cache so everything will be gone. and rubix is on 2.2.1 so you cant go back with ur backups (if im not mistaken)

u can still use launcher pro. rsdlite and sbf shouldnt be needed unless u mess something up. and only certain themes will apply to the ROM - i believe theyre posted along with that ROM..

What do u mean I can't go back? I thought that was why people make back ups so you can go take your phone back to the way it was before the rom.

I went from stock just like you 2.2. To rubix 1.8.9 if you keep reading thru that thread you will find it. The way I understand it if that if we mess our phones up, we would have to Go back to a stock 2.2.1and our nandroid backups won't do us much good, (i could be wrong). There is a ton of helpful people on the rubix thread that will help you get that going.and once you do then just make another nandroid backup before you apply the blackbar or a theme. Hope I'm not off track!

Just do like I did and read the whole thread! And there won't be much left to ask after that.
