I just rooted and am having fun with the new options. I have had some problems with my X, both before and after root (losing 3g, sporadic reboots). I have heard there will be a ota update/patch to deal with many known glitches with the phone.

I under stand I will have to unfreeze the apps I froze with Titanium Backup to take the update. My question is what happens to my root if I take the update? Will I lose is? Will the 4ZRoot still work to get root back? Can I deny the update (how would I set the phone to deny the update)? Thanks for any info you can provide.

You will likely lose root.

Not sure if z4 will work, but if it doesn't, a new oneclick root method will emerge.

You can deny the update, but that's foolish. Root is not a precious, rare thing you won't be able to find after the update. Just get the update then worry about re-rooting after.
