The Droid X has been a top seller for Verizon and Motorola for some time now. In fact, it seemed that they've only recently been able to keep up with demand. But, this is the technology world and things move faster then the speed of light... so with that said, the price is already starting to come down. Costco is offering the Droid X for $100 with a new 2 year contract. That's a great bargain and a hell of a lot of phone for that price, but its entirely possible it will drop by Black Friday as well :)

Happy Hunting!

Is this going to be like the whole iPhone ordeal, and then Verizon ends up caving in and giving a small credit to the customers who purchased the DX or something? Cause that would ROCK! :p

Thought the same thing. I purchased my phone on the 25th of October. Less than 30 days, I can return and pay $35 and still come out on top. Of course the hassle isn't worth it, I'd rather complain. :D

Just bought mine yesterday. Price is for a new contract or a renewal. Of course you have to be eligible to upgrade if a renewal.
Also includes free 2 day shipping.

Yea, retailers can drop the price, but Corp stores are pretty much locked in.

We will be offering it( all the phones) and any accessories for 50% on blackfriday, but dont expect Crop to match that or even offer anything close.

I can't say that I'm happy with it being so cheap. I rather see more android devices out there, than apple though. I have nothing against apple. Just tired of people acting like its better.

OK I have to ask.. I just bought mine today for $299 less $100 mail in debit card. What am I reading about this Amazonwireless.com for much cheaper? I was eligible for an early upgrade so I took advantage of it.. Was that a mistake to pay that much?

I dont think amazon does early upgrades. Just like walmart and letstalk.com.

I just ordered one from Walmart's online wireless store, which is LetsTalk for $89.99, free activation and a $100 Walmart gift card. Now hopefully I'll get it by Wednesday! For the price it was worth the $150 AT&T is going to charge me to get out of my contract.

DROID X by MOTOROLA (Verizon Wireless) | LetsTalk.com (http://www7-walmart.letstalk.com/product/product.htm?prId=37310)

I placed my order Friday night but just noticed it's now back ordered.

When I saw the 0.01 deal I was annoyed. Then I looked at the actvation 2 year deal. It was $30 a month more than my renewal. Over 2 years that's $720. So my paying $100 (with the rebate) seems like a much better deal.

I confirmed with LetsTalk (Walmart Wireless) that the phones they sell have never been used and are brand new. The rest of your post doesn't make sense.

Amazonwireless.com was selling the droid phones ( all of them ) from verizon for one penny (yes! for $.01 )from the 19 - 22nd and free activation.

also wirefly.com is selling the droid x for $69.99.

i terminated my g1 and tmobile contract early for my new X, which i paid full price for at the verizon store, and i had to pay the activation fee, and so far it was worth it all.

Got mine at a corporate store and they waived the silly mail in rebate and simply reduced the price by $100. Still paid $199 though.

i just upgraded to from the d1. i did that buy a dx and get a lg ally for free. i payed $199. my girlfriends upgrade was on the nov 20th and mine is next month. could we return our phones and go through walmart, etc.?

the verizon rep let me upgrade earlier by one month, plus my girlfriends was only a couple day away. would walmart or any of these 3rd party stores let me upgrade early like the vzw rep did?

if i get a dx for 1 cent, 49.99 or even 89 bucks, it beats paying $200.

hey guys, if your looking for a good deal on an X or any phone in the line up www.gozwireless.com (http://www.gozwireless.com) will be doing 50% of phone and accessoires at every one of there stores from the 26th threw the 30th.

They are a premium retailer but they dont do any of those hidden fees like amazon and lets talk. Oh and d2 are only 50 after rebate, cheaper than corpate verizon.
