u can leave them as they are but any updates that come out youll either have to reroot and re-add them or flash the SBF.

why do you want to unroot?

i mean just dont use root apps. theres no point to unroot really unless u have to go to VZW.

and anything that needs root permission will always ask u - if you feel more comfortable you can uncheck the box so its everytime

The only reason I really rooted was to remove bloatware

It "feels" unstable. LOL. Think of it as a Windows box and you have the admin password. That's about the only diff. between it and an unrooted phone. You can do things normal users can't. It works exactly the same unless you start removing things. You will also need root to put things back to normal when an update comes around.

So if i just rename bloatware, im ok? when i send the phone for whatever reason just change the names back and unroot? do i really need titanium backup and busybox installer?

Question about the removal of bloatware... I deleted several of the bloatware programs instead of 'freezing' them like I see so many other people doing. What happens when an update comes through? Also, you said "unless you have to go to VZW"... Are they going to trip out because of my rooted phone and removal of bloatware?

Thanks in advance....

Your phone won't update to 2.3 or whatever is next. You need to either

a. Find the apps and reinstall them. I have seen links to zip files laying around on this forum.
b. SBF flash (reload) your phone.

ok... (1). Please link me to the thread that tells me how to ROOT my phone
and... (2). Please, also, linke me to the thread that tells me how to handle "bloatware".

These 2 things seem to be what everyone - who isn't 'green' is doing to their Droid X.
